Yeah, that means there is a broken Windows file that needs to be fixed so the program can work right.

You can fix it by doing what it says, you need to delete the DLL in Windows explorer and then you need to start the dxsetup.exe, this will fix the file again.

Where is the resource manager for Windows7

How to delete dxsetup. Exe,?
Biohazard  [developer] Nov 4, 2017 @ 5:08pm
In Windows Explorer you need to delete this file: C:/Windows/SysWOW64/d3dx9_43.dll

Then you need to double click this file: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\wallpaper_engine\_CommonRedist\DirectX\Jun2010\dxsetup.exe

There is no C:/ Windows/SysWOW64 / d3dx9_43. DLL

But do you have a C:/ Windows/SysWOW64 folder?

If you have this folder, then you only need to run dxsetup.exe and it should be okay. If you don't have this folder, then you need to delete this file instead: C:/Windows/System32/d3dx9_43.dll

There are C:/ Windows/SysWOW64 but not dxsetup. There is no d3dx9_43. DLL in system 32

Did your Steam perform the 'first time setup' when you started the program the first time? Maybe it had an error.

Steam downloads the installer for these files here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\wallpaper_engine\_CommonRedist\DirectX\Jun2010\dxsetup.exe
if you run it, it should install the files, they come from this installer. But Steam normally does this for you when it shows the 'first time setup' window.

've clicked dxsetup.exe and it's installed but there's a problem showing an internal error. Please refer to the dxerror.log and Direct. Log in the Windows folder to determine what's the problem

Maybe your files are busted. Can you download this from Microsoft? https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35 It is the same, maybe this fresh download works.

:fhappy: Thanks, even tough my DirectX seems complete screwed and installation doesn't want to work, just putting this file in the folder solved the problem for me.

Think i'm going to reinstall my PC ether way, but it did fix it
