also i get c00d512 error (or somthing like that i'll write it down next time i see it) on like 50% of the wallpapers.
im presently removing everything from my
"/Steam/steamapps/workshop/content/431960" folder to a backup zipfile (18gb!)
And i've told steam to "Verify files" at wich ponit it started re-downloading all 18gb.
so maybe when its done i wont keep getting that c00d5?? error. if i do, then i'll post whatever the actual number is here. that probabbly had somthing to do with it. If one selection errors it could consivably leave trailing errors.... maybe?
1> Everythings removed from "/Steam/steamapps/workshop/content/431960"
2> have not verified yet, started up wallpaper engine and all but the default wallpapers have [ ERROR! ] in each box. each one of thoes [ ERROR! ] boxes is a subscribed wallpaper. no way to update them all from here, so i'll go try Verify now.
3 > Shutting down Wallpaper engine again.
4 > Verifing now. Verify seems to be redownloading all subscribed wallpapers as expected. (Yay! *\o/*) it'll be a long wait 18+gb.
5 > [[[[[[[ ill edit here later and bump-thread if the no-screens problem or the c00d5?? problem persist ]]]]]]]]
The red error boxes are there because the files were removed, yes, Steam thinks the files are still there so it shows these errors.
Can you try a stock wallpaper like the 3D car and see if that works?
Do you know what changed on the PC? The last update that I released is almost a month old.
for example:
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=916292385
and
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=861875736
and
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=882980844
what is this error why does it persist?
many of my wallpapers post this error on the system tray when they try to start.
i no longer have the black only screen issue, but error c00d5212 repeats on 50% of all wallpapers, and prevents me form viewing those allpapers with the c00d5212 error.
please help!
it will be a while, there are other things in the que.
should be finished in an hour or 2.

A Workshop Item for Wallpaper Engine
By: 朕知道了] ←Works (no c00d5212 error]
It looks like these are above 1080p, which isn't supported by the video decoder in Windows 7, so it seems strange that they worked at first and then didn't work.
the blank screen thing seems to have cleared up after i killed explorer.exe and restarted it with process-explorer.
but 50% of my wallpapers all report the c00d5212 error and don't display. if that's a windows 7 issue do you intend to patch it? its rather handycapping this software fairly hard.
i didn't see a "win 10 only" requirement when installing.
The WebM format will allow higher resolutions, because that doesn't use Windows to decode the video, but Chromium instead. Downsampling the videos to 1080p would also be an option to make it play.
No... but it is on the store page like i.e. the requirement of hardware acceleration for the desktop which must be turned on.
[[without changing my os to windows 10 which i very much do not want for a plathora of reasons]]
Is there something i can set or do or change or an option to select or something to download, that will allow me to see the items that are giving the c00d5212 error? it looks rather ragged to have 50% of the wallpapers broken and erroring with a undescriptive error.
