Microsoft added that fade-in effect when logging in with the Creator's update. There is a hidden function to remove it, which you can enable by editing the config.json (from the installation directory) with a text editor while the program is closed. Find the block that says "user" and add the line with "slideshowkiller" at the top like this:

"user" : { "slideshowkiller" : true,

I made it hidden since it "could" cause weird issues if it detects the wrong fade window, like icons disappearing. I had it running since the creators update though and it never caused any complications for me so far. Should anything go wrong, restarting the PC or logging out and back in would revert it though.

nice man!, ty, that worked, but popped up another issue lol, now everytime I restart I get the configuration menu , where you ser priority and quality after installation. Probably has nothing to do with this but is it a known issue?

That issue did not happen before without slideshowkiller enabled?

I think the cause of that issue is that Windows has not set up the username yet, so when Wallpaper Engine reads the username it will fail and load the wrong config (like starting with the initial config, so it'll show the welcome screen). Does that happen frequently to you now? I think it happened once to me, but hundreds of times it doesn't happen on my PC. If you are having trouble with it I could try to figure something out.

How do you get to that because I am having the same problem.

Enable the option "remove Windows wallpaper fade" in the general settings of Wallpaper Engine.
