Can't find AVI and WMV files when creating video wallpaper.

So when I try to create a video wallpaper, first I get an error that it can't find my desktop. Weird, but not really the main issue.

My problem is that Wallpaper engine won't show my video file when I look for it. I have saved it in both AVI and WMV.

I can't save the video as a mp4 file, because my video editing program for some reason won't save it a such.

Any suggestions?

The Workshop is only accepting mp4 and webm, but you can use a free utility like 'handbrake' to convert it from your avi file.

The desktop error can be ignored, it seems to be a Windows bug when setting the initial directory to the desktop, but you can still navigate to it manually.

I see. Just needed a program that could convert the files to mp4.
