How do I make an interactive wallpaper?
I can't seem to figure out how to start working on it, can anyone give me some tips as to how I'm supposed to go about doing this? Does the thing being interacted with need to be a separate asset? Thank you!

You need to make a website type or an application type of wallpaper to make it interactive.
Try to do it in the html way or Unity (The only exe type that can be imported directly as an application wallpaper at the moment.) or other exe type (But you need to put them into a website through WebGL after you have finished making the exe file, then import it as a website type wallpaper.)

Oh gross, WebGL lol. If it's anything like programming in OpenGL, I have no desire to do this haha

Actually the UI of Unity is really user-friendly, it does not require a lot of scripting if you are not aiming for a very complex interactive wallpaper.
The WebGL part is only for importing an exe file made with any programme other than Unity because you cannot directly import a non-Unity exe file as an application wallpaper at the moment afaik but you can directly import it if it is made with Unity.
