Wallpaper Engine HATES being installed anywhere but your OS drive
Near as I can tell, anyway. I don't install anything but certain apps on C drive as it's an SSD, keep all my steam library on a mechanical drive. Anyway, first install of Wallpaper Engine didn't want to boot up. Second install onto C drive works fine.

A little protip for anyone who was unable to get it working. Might want to make mention of this in the F.A.Q :)

Might be just a single case. I installed it on my HDD and it works flawlessly.

It shouldn't matter where you install it, just make sure to not move the folder, that would break the configuration files.

Sometimes Steam fails to install the runtime which causes heaps of problems, maybe that's what first happened to you?
