How to hide desktop?

I'm looking to hide the explorer and the apps on my desktop, but can't find out how to. Halp

hide the icons? or the taskbar?

to hide the task bar on windows 10, right click>settings and theres a option for that. hover over it to make it slide back in place

There a thing called Taskbar Eliminator you ever try it before?
For icon right-click, View, Show desktop icon

Right click on taskbar > check auto-hide taskbar > apply
to hide icons, right click on desktop > view > uncheck show desktop icons
