Overheating phone the past few days
s21 ultra, never had overheating issues with wallpaper engine on until the past week out of nowhere, slowed down my phone by a considerable amount. uninstalled the app and phones been running just fine. after a bit of research it might be a samsung problem since the s10 or 20, wondering if anyone else have had the same problem or if there is a fix.

We have not had any similar reports so for now I cannot say that this is a widespread issue. Which wallpaper were you using at the time that this problem first occurred? Did you try a system restart in case some core process maybe locked up after an update?

i reinstalled the app and my phone is pretty much running like normal now. the wallpapers i run are the same ive been running since i installed the app, never had heating or battery issues with them. i have a feeling it mightve been the samsung update prior to my problem because my battery would drain like crazy even while charging, and just kill the battery a couple times. android auto couldnt keep up with charging the phone so i figured something mightve been running hard in the background.

restarting my phone or charging my battery up from 0 didnt really fix the issue, been up to date since the october 2nd update. i uninstalled a couple background apps and it wasnt until i uninstalled wallpaper engine my phone started to cool down and charge properly, reinstalled it and my phones been pretty much normal since.

I am afraid I have nothing to go by for now, I assume that just some core Android process locked up that may have been used by Wallpaper Engine. I will keep this in mind in case other users start coming in with other reports but for now I will just consider this a random fluke of some sorts.
