Wiring option (by USB) to connect an Android device to PC/Desktop?

my cat thought my connection adapter to my Desktop was really tasty, so they ate it. now my Desktop cant get any (good, or even usable) internet without using Ethernet. i have to export my files manually ,which although is an option, is extremely tedious and irritating knowing i could just click a button to send them to my phone. is there any way that a USB connection can make it so Wallpaper Engine files are sent to your phone through USB just as easily as you could through internet?

I don't think that this is likely to happen because it seems to require dabbling with drivers, which is just going a bit too far right now.

What we will rather try is having an easily viewable/editable folder on the phone that the program could scan for wallpapers, so you could drag & drop them in one go over USB. But even this isn't as easy as it should be due permissions and vast differences between devices.
