Xiaomi (and its sub-brands like POCO) do not allow live wallpapers on the lock-screen, they block them entirely unfortunately.

I was able to set wallpaper for the lock screen. To do this: settings-> wallpaper-> live-> choose one-> Now you can choose wallpaper from app. (Redmi note 9 pro)

Just checked again and I can only use ♥♥♥♥ animated wallpapers provided strictly by Xiaomi

there's a way to do it for xiaomi device's.
go to theme's, my wallpaper and then set your live wallpaper randomly to both menu and lock screen.
then go to wallpaper engine and apply wallpaper u choose from ur wallpaper engine to override it.
this method works for MIUI 13 and below

For MIUI 14.
you got to theme's, choose any super wallpaper. apply it. go to your wallpaper engine and apply your own wallpapers.

quite intimidating at first, but it's very simple to do

The wallpaperengine software also calls system permissions/interfaces to enable wallpaper functionality, so just close the wallpaperengine software first, enable a dynamic wallpaper (or a static wallpaper and allow horizontal scrolling) through system settings, and then launch wallpaperengine to apply wallpaper. Everything is working fine, from POCO F3 , miui14.
