Wallpaper Engine - Animated wallpapers freezing and causing desktop issues on Windows 11

Hello,

I'm experiencing a problem with Wallpaper Engine on my Windows 11 machine. I've set up a queue of wallpapers that should change automatically, but some of them, especially animated ones, tend to freeze. When this happens, the animated wallpaper stops, and after moving the mouse cursor over the screen, the loading circle appears. If I then click several times on the desktop, all my icons and the taskbar disappear, and the desktop refreshes itself. After that, everything works fine until the next wallpaper change.

I've already tried changing the display options to a static background and replacing the Windows wallpaper with a Wallpaper Engine wallpaper, but the problem persists.

Has anyone else encountered this issue? Any suggestions on how to fix it?

It's a bug on Windows 11 24H2, it's fixed on Wallpaper Engine 2.6 which is available on the beta branch and will be out next week:
