Xiaomi Mi Curved Gaming 34", Random Black Screen issue

I just bought this monitor and have noticed that whenever I use wallpaper engine, my monitor just randomly goes black every couple of minutes. No video and audio both.

I closed wallpaper engine and its now working fine. It's 3440 x 1440 resolution, 144 Hz with Freesync. Any solution? I have a 2nd monitor 1080p 60 Hz so I tried lowering my ultrawide to 120 100 and 60 Hz (as I've read in the FAQ) as well as Freesync on and off. Issue still persists. Second 1080p monitor doesn't experience the said black screen issue.

I haven't tried switching to HDMI or a new DP cable.

So is it safe to assume this monitor isn't compatible with Wallpaper Engine? Or can I do something with the apps settings itself?

Wallpaper Engine is fully compatible with your screen setup and we have no similar reports, screens with 3440x1440 and 144 Hz are fairly common and we also use them ourselves without any issues, including in multi-monitor setups.

Try reinstalling your graphics card drivers and check if that works. Since your screen is turning off completely, it's almost guaranteed to be related to your graphics card. It could also be your cable, though I think it's rather unlikely. Since the RX480 is pretty old and not that powerful, it might be running into some weird driver issues due to your multi-screen setup.

You can also try and share the scan tool from our log file as described here, I can take a look but it's likely on hardware level and will not be logged by Wallpaper Engine or Windows:

Thanks, I'll do some of those stuff and test different drivers as well. If it's hardware level, I'm actually glad to hear that the issue is highly likely to be related to my old graphics card since I was quite worried that my new bought monitor is defective.
