If that doesn't make any difference, please share this full log.txt with us: https://help.wallpaperengine.io/debug/scantool.html
I've added both wallpaper32 and ui32 to the list of games in the Radeon control panel specifically to disable all driver features on these two programs and then restarted Wallapper engine, but this has unfortunately not resolved the issue.
The slowness happens the moment that any UI element is produced, including the pop up menu that's provided via the taskbar icon.
Here is the info.txt file's contents:

You have the Nahimic overlay active so this may also cause mouse problems since its purpose is to hook input and output of programs.
Maybe try closing Wallpaper Engine fully from the tray icon and then start it through Steam with the 3rd option that says "start UI in safe mode". This will simply disable hardware acceleration in the UI and now most overlay programs should leave it alone since there is no more graphics hardware support being used.
I definitely have something funky interacting with Wallpaper Engine on my system. I ♥♥♥♥ you not, after one restart of the app a moment ago, horizontal movement produced a sinewave movement of the mouse cursor.
That's to say, moving the mouse left or right when the UI had focus caused the mouse cursor to also slide up and down invisible hills while it moved from side to side. I guess it's in the holiday spirit and went sledding.
This happened only once. It hasn't repeated on subsequent restarts of Wallpaper Engine, although the slowness is still there.
This is definitely a weird conflict on my system. If I ever figure it out I'll let you know. If it wasn't so slow I'd actually be amused. That sinewave was pretty trippy.
As for Nahimic, I don't even know what that is. Judging by the file path it looks like it's part of my Alienware Control Center, but it may also be a part of the Immerse Gamepack since it has to do with audio.
These are the apps that are running in my taskbar:

I should also mention my Windows version if it wasn't in the info.txt file.
Windows 11 Version 21H2 OS Build 22000.376
- Try completely excluding the entire installation path (S:\games\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\wallpaper_engine) of Wallpaper Engine and additionally wallpaper32/64.exe and bin/ui32.exe in malwarebytes and restart.
- Try closing Steam and Wallpaper Engine completely, now manually start Wallpaper Engine without Steam from S:\games\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\wallpaper_engine\wallpaper32.exe
- Try deleting your entire configuration by using the reset button in Wallpaper Engine's general settings (or move the config.json file from the directory while the program is closed). Does the issue still occur now with the standard settings when you only apply one wallpaper to the first monitor?
More specifically, the Logitech G HUB software had created a profile for Wallpaper Engine which I only noticed by exploring the drop down menu in the software. Apparently, G HUB creates profiles completely silently, and for reasons that make no sense to me whatsoever it had set its DPI for Wallpaper Engine to a paltry 800 rather than using the Desktop setting of 6000.
