Extremely Slow Mouse In UI
Any time that the Wallpaper Engine UI has focus - and this is true for any of the user interface - the mouse acceleration seems to drop to 0. The mouse cursor moves very, very slowly, requiring that I slide the mouse across my desk more than once simply to move it along the small UI of the app.

Essentially it seems like Wallpaper Engine's user interface is behaving like a game that has taken control of the mouse cursor and it has the acceleration set to its lowest.

When I alt tab back to the desktop or any other app, the mouse returns to its normal speed.

If you have the Nvidia Share overlay enabled try to disable it and restart the PC.

If that doesn't make any difference, please share this full log.txt with us: https://help.wallpaperengine.io/debug/scantool.html

I'm on an AMD card, actually, so I don't think that I have the equivalent of something like that.

I've added both wallpaper32 and ui32 to the list of games in the Radeon control panel specifically to disable all driver features on these two programs and then restarted Wallapper engine, but this has unfortunately not resolved the issue.

The slowness happens the moment that any UI element is produced, including the pop up menu that's provided via the taskbar icon.

Here is the info.txt file's contents:

Okay, thanks. So far the only known cause for mouse related issues like this was the Nvidia overlay so that's why it was my first suggestion.

You have the Nahimic overlay active so this may also cause mouse problems since its purpose is to hook input and output of programs.

Maybe try closing Wallpaper Engine fully from the tray icon and then start it through Steam with the 3rd option that says "start UI in safe mode". This will simply disable hardware acceleration in the UI and now most overlay programs should leave it alone since there is no more graphics hardware support being used.

Safe mode didn't help, but I appreciate the suggestion.

I definitely have something funky interacting with Wallpaper Engine on my system. I ♥♥♥♥ you not, after one restart of the app a moment ago, horizontal movement produced a sinewave movement of the mouse cursor.

That's to say, moving the mouse left or right when the UI had focus caused the mouse cursor to also slide up and down invisible hills while it moved from side to side. I guess it's in the holiday spirit and went sledding.

This happened only once. It hasn't repeated on subsequent restarts of Wallpaper Engine, although the slowness is still there.

This is definitely a weird conflict on my system. If I ever figure it out I'll let you know. If it wasn't so slow I'd actually be amused. That sinewave was pretty trippy.

As for Nahimic, I don't even know what that is. Judging by the file path it looks like it's part of my Alienware Control Center, but it may also be a part of the Immerse Gamepack since it has to do with audio.

Do you maybe have a controller or gamepad plugged in? Can you try and unplug it? There was a super ultra rare issue where Steam would forward controller movements to Wallpaper Engine by mistake a while ago when controller input was enabled "for all games" in Steam.

That was definitely worth a try, but didn't solve it. I unplugged the xbox game pad, closed wallpaper engine, counted one-one-thousand to 5, and restarted Wallpaper Engine. Didn't do the trick.

These are the apps that are running in my taskbar:

I should also mention my Windows version if it wasn't in the info.txt file.

Here are a few suggestions to try:

- Try completely excluding the entire installation path (S:\games\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\wallpaper_engine) of Wallpaper Engine and additionally wallpaper32/64.exe and bin/ui32.exe in malwarebytes and restart.
- Try closing Steam and Wallpaper Engine completely, now manually start Wallpaper Engine without Steam from S:\games\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\wallpaper_engine\wallpaper32.exe
- Try deleting your entire configuration by using the reset button in Wallpaper Engine's general settings (or move the config.json file from the directory while the program is closed). Does the issue still occur now with the standard settings when you only apply one wallpaper to the first monitor?

I found the culprit. Turns out the problem is Logitech G HUB. I knew that the problem had to be something stupidly simple on my end. Thank you for the assistance, it's much appreciated.

More specifically, the Logitech G HUB software had created a profile for Wallpaper Engine which I only noticed by exploring the drop down menu in the software. Apparently, G HUB creates profiles completely silently, and for reasons that make no sense to me whatsoever it had set its DPI for Wallpaper Engine to a paltry 800 rather than using the Desktop setting of 6000.

I finally narrowed down my BSOD's to this ♥♥♥♥ software too. My PC runs great as long as I don't have any Logitech software installed, but now my G29 wheel and driving games are useless. I also rid myself of the Logitech gaming mouse and bought a Razer instead and now everything runs smooth. I'll never buy another Logitech item again and I'll remind anyone and everyone to steer clear of Logitech at all costs. The fact that this company doesn't fix their software is atrocious. Logitech can go f@#k themselves for all the time I wa
