Download speed

Hello am I the only one who is having extremely annoying download speed with this engine ? Most of the time when I try to download a wallpaper, it downloads with kb/s not with mb/s I have to stop downloading it many many many times untill it finally starts to download normal speed and not snail speed. It stays at 0-1% download for several minutes.

All wallpaper downloads are normal Steam downloads, just like games or Steam Workshop items for other games / apps. In some cases, the local download servers may just be unusually busy or there may be some routing problem with your internet service provider causing slow downloads. Try changing the server location in your Steam settings and see if that improves the speed. Sometimes changing to a region that currently is in the middle of the night (and thus has very few active users) can speed downloads up tremendously.

Uff that's sad. SOmetimes it downloads as it should be. Fast but sometimes it takes like 5 minutes just for 50 mb. I also don't know how to change server location in steam settings. Never seen such stuff.

Open up Steam, then in the upper right corner click on "Steam -> Settings". Then click on the "Downloads" tab on the left in the settings window. You will find an option called "Download Region" there. Change it to a different region. For example, right now it might be a good idea to switch to something like US - New York because it's on the US East coast and users there are most likely still asleep.

If it's also slow for you, try a different region, maybe something closer to you but not the default location that Steam selected for you.
