Wallpaper Engine caused controller problem

Hello! I've encountered a very strange issue while using Wallpaper Engine. I am using Windows 11 and I connect a PS5 controller(dualsense edge) via a USB cable to play games. Steam correctly detects the controller, and it works fine in-game. However, if I switch back to the desktop and open Wallpaper Engine, then switch back to the game, the controller becomes non-responsive in the game. Steam can still detect the controller, but it can no longer be used for Big Picture mode control in Steam. My Wallpaper Engine is set to start with the system, and the desktop is always running Wallpaper Engine wallpapers, but the Wallpaper Engine application itself is not open. Under these conditions, the controller works fine in games. But as soon as I open the Wallpaper Engine interface to select wallpapers, the controller stops working. Do you have any idea what might be causing this issue? I've disabled controller input for Wallpaper Engine in Steam settings, but it hasn't resolved the problem.
