Error code 0xC0000005 fixes not working, puppet warp corrupted.
Hi, I've been working on a wallpaper with puppet warp animations for a few days now and while the program had crashed 5~6 times while editing the puppet warp (error code 0xC0000005), I didn't have any problems after restarting.

Until today that is, when I tried creating a blinking animation using texture channels, which didn't work, so I tried enabling alpha writing. Upon exiting the texture channel editor, WE crashed once again (error code again 0xC0000005).

Now, I cannot open, edit, or even apply this wallpaper without WE crashing with the same error message. The puppet warp appears to be completely corrupted as I am left with an unmoving character sheet after a "failed compile".

My current status after reading through the FAQ:
-Reinstalled the graphics driver (NVidia)
-Reinstalled Wallpaper Engine
-Tried standard and 64-bit WE versions
-Did a system compatibility check (Result: No issues (aside from minor performance
concerns over NVidia's driver in very rare cases that not even the debugger seemed
worried about))
-No older saves available (this should really be a feature in this program since we
have autosave)
~9 hours of work and my sanity lost

Losing so much of my work sucks. Also, working with puppet warps was very, very painful even without the constant crashing and I'd rather not have to do everything all over again only to inevitably run into the same error.

If anyone has a fix, I'll be eternally grateful.

Generally, if you are experiencing this many crashes in the editor, especially with some advanced feature like that, it's probably a bug. The editor should not crash, especially not if you don't have issues with using any wallpapers. I don't know if I can help you recover your project but the least we can do is look into the underlying issue.

First, check the wallpaper_engine\bin directory for crash dump files (.mdmp). By default, it's located here:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\wallpaper_engine\bin

They come with a timestamp, look for the ones that align with the time of editor crash. Zip them up and mail them to me at support@wallpaperengine.io and a link back to this thread. Please also include the broken project files, maybe they'll include some hint at what's going on. You can find the project files in the wallpaper_engine\projects\myprojects directory.
