wallpaper32.exe is a virus?

I downloaded Wallpaper Engine and one file during downloading was detected as a malware. One antivirus - ok, it might be a mistake, but score 41/72? Suspicious. It happens every time I download wallpaper engine. It's first time I use this program in a long time. Disabling steam sync and one subscribed wallpaper in workshop didn't help. When steam finishes download, every file (including the other file wallpaper32.exe) is clear. Any idea what's going on?

its is call a false positive
the data is like that because people download pirated version of wallpaper engine that contain malware and viruses

make sure you white liste your steam folder in your anti virus software

Wouldn't the hash of the file be different then?

Correct, file hash would have been different.
