Artifacts on wallpaper
Happy holidays to everyone, I faced the problem that artifacts began to appear on my new wallpaper. I have already tried everything, reinstalled the program, reinstalled the drivers for the video card, but nothing helped. What to do and what is the reason? I have already checked the wallpaper itself, specifically their video file, I have it playing without artifacts. Also, I have no problems with my video card, because as before, as now I have no artifacts anywhere, only on the wallpaper Wallpaper Engine. Below I will leave you a link to the screen so that you understand what it is about *tap* [drive.google.com]

It's a bug in the Intel graphics card drivers. I reached out to Intel and they claimed they fixed it with an update late last year. What version / date are your Intel graphics card drivers exactly? If you have a notebook and you downloaded the drivers from the notebook manufacturer website, they may be outdated and you need to get the latest ones from Intel directly.

The fact is that my graphics card is from AMD, not intel

I have not seen this issue before with any AMD GPUs, but at least that explains why the driver update did not fix the issue for you. Basically this happens when the graphics chip - for whatever reason - fails to decode the video properly. What GPU are you using? It could simply be hitting a bottleneck or have a problem with the specific video codec that is being used. Keep in mind that most video players do not use the graphics card to decode the video, so GPU-related rendering issues usually do not appear in these video players.

You can try and turn off the "Video hardware acceleration" option in the "General" tab of the settings and see if the issue disappears. However, this will put more strain on your CPU. A better solution would be to use a free tool like Handbrake to re-encode the video file and see if that helps:

I use an AMD Radeon R9 200 Series 270 graphics card, I tried to turn off hardware acceleration, but nothing helped.

Try enabling the option again and re-encode the video. The Radeon 200 series is now ten years old, so I am fairly certain that your computer is hitting some sort of bottleneck and is unable to decode the video in real time. Use Handbrake (link above) to lower the framerate and / or resolution for example, the video you are using is likely in a format that was not common ten years ago and so lowering the bitrate will likely help. From my end, there is not much else I can do I am afraid, the video processing is fully handled by Windows itself.
