The most of my Wallpapers were put in the cache - why?
The first time I started Wallpaper Engine after the new Update, it said , around 200 or more Wallpapers were slided into the cache. I can't find them anymore... What can I do?? :ritonaworried:

The cache just means you have 200 subscriptions and Wallpaper Engine can now remember them when you start it without steam running, so it's a good thing. It takes a long time after opening the window because Steam is excruciatingly slow.

If you think they are not showing up, please restart your PC and open the wallpaper browser window and then wait at least a minute to give Steam plenty of time to finish.

Also open the filter menu and click the reset button at the top to make sure you didn't filter anything out.

@Biohazard
Wallpaper Engine has been "remembering" my wallpapers for years now.
I think maybe I'm misunderstanding you.
They're stored locally when you subscribe to them and they've always worked without Steam running.

Reading this post I believe this caching is what's causing me a lot of frustration.

I never have Steam running unless I want to look for new Wallpapers, and launching Wallpaper Engine to browse for wallpapers, including my existing wallpapers is now excruciatingly slow.

This is definitely making me want to roll-back to a previous version of wallpaper engine without this caching.

But this 'Cache' is the reason Wallpaper Engine was ever able to remember your wallpapers to begin with.

You are saying that it's slow, but the OP is saying that the wallpapers aren't showing up at all for them. This is completely different, but both issues have nothing to do with the cache. The cache has always existed and is not the reason for either issue, nothing was changed about it.

Can you please create a new thread and post this log? https://help.wallpaperengine.io/en/debug/scantool.html Please post that log no matter if it finds anything.

:flowey: Wow, thank you so much for taking your time to answer me yourself - and also so very quick!!
I feel a bit dumb now, :winter2019surprisedyul:I missed the button to reset the filters. I was already looking around the filters for some good time before, because I already thought it could have something to do with it - this makes so much sense now.

It just seemed suspicious to me, that they haven't shown up the time I was opening it the first time after the update - what by the way is a very cool one!!

So thank you very much for your help! :winter2019joyfultearsyul: :ecchikyoko: :terraria:
