Also sorry about the Steam thing, maybe I will rename it into 'Browse Workshop (Steam)' or something.
Well i should have thought it did that, but maybe "Browse Steam Workshop" as many other games call it if it doesn't make the menu to big :)
It acts like im missing a runtime it seems
Does this program need any Runtimes like Visual C++ or .Net framework version i might not have... that'd be a good start as .Net is "Optional" in windows update on Windows 7 :P
- The Animate Windows in System Performance is turned on
- I have Visual C++ 2013 x86 version 12.0.30501 (Also x64 of the same version), i got Visual C++ 2005,2008,2010,2013,2015 all installed
- I have Windows 7x64, so DirectX11 should be supported (Got an NVidia 970GTX card so DX11 should work, and DirectX12 supported if i had Windows 10)
Still not working, but i will try mess around a little with it as i run with most of this disabled for faster navigating around in windows.
i will give a little feedback if i find another setting that causes it to not work :P
However i installed it on my Laptop with Windows 10x64, and that seems to work so far. the "Welcome to Wallpaper Engine" pops up and i can edit the Low/Medium/High setting. And i can see the UI of the "Browse Wallpaper" just fine there :o
The "Welcome to Wallpaper Engine" popped up the very first time (When i had the "Animate windows" popup issue), and didn't popup ever since that time if that makes a difference in finding the issue :)
On your desktop PC with Win7, do you have a theme with Aero active? Could you try switching to the default Aero theme and run Wallpaper Engine then? I think right now it will require Aero to work on Win7.
So somewhere in the files it went wrong on my main PC. Could perhaps have something to do with me having that Animate Window popup issue at first... it cancled the "Welcome UI" :)
If you want, i got a copy of the "broken folder" stored if you want to investigate it so it doesn't happen for others :)
