Working with Corsair
So, I guess I'm a noob to getting the Wallpaper Engine to work with my Corsair Cue. I've seen people have their wallpaper and Cue set up to be audio responsive and things like that, and I don't know how to set that up. On my Cue I have set as my Default profile to be layer 1: link Rain, layer 2: link Rain, Layer 3: link color shift. After that i have a few hidden layers set for various peripherals for color matching. The closet thing I have to "synced" is color matching the color to Wallpaper Engine and setting a similiar annimation. I'd like to learn more.

First you need to select one of Corsairs web wallpapers, they should link to iCUE immediately without enabling anything.

Does the lighting change if you use the 'Corsair Collection' wallpaper? This is not audio responsive but it has distinct lighting effects so it should be easy to tell whether the link works.

No, that is the wallpaper I'm using to match in color and similar animation.

So the lighting does not change at all based on that wallpaper? Then there is no connection to iCUE.

Can you open the settings in Wallpaper Engine and the plugin tab? Does it show Corsair iCUE and does it say 'loaded'?

it is

Have you disabled the SDK option in iCUE perhaps?

If you go to a device and open the 'lighting effects' option, does it say 'lightings are controlled by an application'? It says that if any application like Wallpaper Engine is connected to iCUE.

Well that was the magic AHA part. 2 new problems have rose from this though. 1. it's flipped the sequence of the lights, I have the corsair crystal 280x case and have my #1 fan on the front bottom and in ascending order after that. so instead of going bottom to top it's top to bottom. Same with my second channel of light strips. 2. seems like there's no support to a K55 keyboard?

I'm afraid this is beyond what Wallpaper Engine can control. I only see the lighting node pro as a single device and don't get to differentiate the fans that are connected. I have heard that you are able to change the order in iCUE though.

It should work if it's an RGB keyboard with iCUE support, which afaik it is unless you have a different model that I'm seeing? Perhaps it needs a firmware update. I'm not aware of any keyboards having a problem yet, but it's possible, though yet again I would have to wait for Corsair to fix that, Wallpaper Engine doesn't differentiate between keyboard models either I'm afraid, they're are all supposed to be treated the same by iCUE.

I'll test the fan order. And my guess is because the keyboard doesn't have per key RGB but I'll see if it needs an update

It won't let me mess with anything on iCUE. It's completely slaved to WE

K55 is running latest firmware

Hm if the RGB control is not per key then I guess there is no support, strange, I would have figured that this would be indicated differently. I guess iCUE itself supports it, but Corsair has not added support for these devices through their SDK, so an app like Wallpaper Engine can't control it. Maybe they can enable this in the future though.

You cannot change the order in iCUE because a plugin is active? Okay, you can close Wallpaper Engine and adjust the order then I suppose. I don't know how that looks like, I was just told it would be possible somewhere in iCUE though.

Hopefully. I've been thinking of going up to something with per key RGB anyway. We'll see. I like where this is all going though. Would like to see in the future the ability to say change the color of the equalizer range passed single color or straight rainbow, messing with the "order" of your fans and strips tohow you have it oriented in your case, ability to switch audio outputs without the plugin freezing, definitely would like to see more than Corsair O Tron, cool but not much my style. Maybe something with publishable Presets. Gosh that seems like a tall order after typing that. Just my opinion to really have freedom in light crazed world we live in. Got a great idea for a theme for my Pc if we had a few of these

Last one. Ability to use our default iCUE profile as an equalizer scheme. So like with my rain layers with a equalizer lighting sequence
