Visual glitch in video wallpapers

So whenever I try to play VIDEO wallpapers, it does this weird staircase effect on the left side of the screen. I've searched the internet far and wide and I didn't find anyone with the same issue.

i have the same issue, whenever something moves on the left hand side of the screen it goes all glitchy and "like a staircase" i've tried updating my graphics card etc but it hasn't worked it's really annoying :(
