Offset reflection along X axis?
Heyas, quick question regarding the reflection effect

Is it possible to move the effect along the X axis?

Currently there only seems to be options for adjusting the direction and then the offset function moves the reflection up/down

Problem is that for my image I need the reflection to be at the side of the image rather than directly reflecting downwards (i.e. it has to reflect something on the side)

Could you share a screenshot of what you are trying to do to make it a bit easier to visualize? But no, currently you can only offset it along the axis of the reflection.

In theory you could use a composition layer to "record" any part of the wallpaper you want and then use the blend effect on another layer to blend that recording over the other layer. This would allow you to create a completely free reflection with what's currently possible, but of course that's just a workaround.

Here's the image in question, I initially wanted to remove the original reflection on the right and just use wallpaper engine's reflection to replace it entirely so any movement can be reflected properly, but like I said I can't seem to move the reflection along the X axis so I just end up with a reflection of the subject on the left side of the screen instead

Thanks, I think the offset option actually doesn't work as intended, oops.

However what you are trying to do will still be a problem I think. The reflection that the program creates is just totally flat and this reflection requires perspective and it's also skewed. I.e. the vertical offset becomes larger the farther the reflection goes.

The perspective aspect (z-order of arms and body, if that makes sense) obviously can't be done with a 2D effect like this. We will fix the offset option and you could check out if that helps at all, but like I said, I believe the result will still not be like you may hope.
