Error "Wrong installation path registered in windows"
So i have my wallpaper engine installed on my D:/ drive and my steam is installed on my C:/ drive and i get the Error " Wrong installation path registered in windows" So i try to uninstall wallpaper engine and put it on my C:/ drive but when i try to uninstall it steam goes unresponsive so i cant change it to my C:/ drive. Another problem now i cant load another program or game on steam without it going responsive so i cant play any steam games. anyone know how to fix this?

This happens when the program gets moved after installation (i.e. using the Steam option to move it) because nothing can be done by us to update the auto start path automatically, Steam is not advanced enough for something like this. There should be a button in that dialog that you can click and then the program will update everything for you.

So it can definitely work from the D:/ drive, just leave it there and let Steam verify the files: https://help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/view/0C48-FCBD-DA71-93EB and before you start it, make sure to wait until Steam is really done with the verification and download of any missing files.

If the warning still shows up, just press the button to fix the auto start path automatically. If that doesn't work, you can also disable the auto start and re-enable it after starting the program from Steam.

I don't know about this but your Steam is probably just busy dealing with the files. If you have a lot of Workshop subscriptions then Steam will take its time until it's done moving or verifying files.
