Cropping Image after importing
Is there a way to crop unused portion of an image after I have it sized?

The editor should recommend cropping it automatically after importing

Thank you for you comment but we are talking about two different things.

I create projects from the template option so I don't get that option and even if it did, I want to crop after I have my pictures in place. After I'm done manipulating the pictures, there's a lot of unused pictures outside the resolution border.

I’m not sure I understand, but you can also open your image layers in an external editor to crop them. There is no other manual cropping solution that I am aware of: https://docs.wallpaperengine.io/en/scene/image-preparation/external-editor.html

Yea I'm not good at explaining thing. I think what I want doesn't exist. Simply put: After I'm done setting up my images, I want anything in the grey and yellow strip areas to be cropped. I work with multiples images in one scene, so I'm having high texture memory usage. If I can just delete unused parts of the scene, it should lower memory usage.

Yes I don’t believe it is possible without using an external editor. Maybe useful information here, if you have not read it: https://docs.wallpaperengine.io/en/scene/performance/texture.html

I'm afraid this isn't possible right now. The effects and masks that can be applied to images are all dependent on the resolution of the image so cropping an image after you are done working with it would break all of the effects it potentially has. You can definitely still edit and resize it externally but due to the problems this will cause, there is no built-in function to do it.

Thanks for replies. Maybe I should put a warning on my uploads. Active texture memory is 928mb but it runs fine on my 1080ti, but it's triple the recommended stats.

Edit: Just notice active texture dropped a lot once I set Combo user properties. I'm guessing only selected scenes are active at a time.
