It is only on startup, not when you start it later? Are you using the high-priority option or the normal one?

only once on pc startup, about 5-10 seconds after working normally, I'm using the normal version. Should I still send you the crash dump or is this a common problem?

Yeah, please send me the mdmp. It's not common, at least I can't think of another reported occurrence right now.

Thanks. It seems that the media player module from Windows is crashing but it doesn't show much in the mdmp. If the same wallpapers work fine later, just not during auto start, it might work if you don't use the high-priority option (assuming you are using it at all).

I'm not using the high priority thingy. What should I do? I like my wallpapers way too much to just give up

Make sure to also do the last two steps, otherwise it will always use the Windows media modules first. If this still doesn't help, can you send me a few more mdmps? It's possible that some show more info than others, so I might see something more specific in one of them.

Thanks, those don't show anything else it seems, so I would try using LAV next.

Also, maybe you could double check that all drivers are updated and all Windows updates installed? Something must be causing the problem after all, could it perhaps be related to something about the video file, or does it happen with any video?

I did all the steps, but I don't get the red tray LAV icon. Will tell if it works tomorrow.
