Wallpapers do not pause while playing games.
I'm using it with a dual monitor setup (Win10) and as the title says it is still moving when I start playing a game. Only way to really pause it is to maximize any window(-ed application)

Hey,
If you also want them to pause without playing maximized/fullscreen, then you can change the option "other application focused" to "pause". It's in the settings window at the very top.

Cheers

I see, but shouldn't "other application fullscreen" cause it to pause when a game starts in fullscreen mode?

Then I misunderstood your original post. Yes, it should pause while playing fullscreen, but with multiple monitors this currently requires fullscreen to be used on your primary monitor (I believe) - at least if your fullscreen resolution is lower than the one used on the primary monitor. So might that be the problem?

If that's not it, could you give me more information on your setup (resolutions, which one the primary monitor is etc) and the game you are playing?

I'm using 2 BenQ monitors side by side both each with a 1920x1080 resolution. Wallpaper Engine was set to:
Other application focused: Keep running
Other application maximized: Pause
Other application fullscreen: Pause.

Currently using "Multi Bloom" by user Dartharc in "fit single wallpaper" mode.

Was playing Titanfall 2. The game launched also with a 1920x1080 resolution on the main screen. (I double checked it, it's identified as nr "1" by windows and it also contains the start menu button)

Did a quick test with Rocket League, and there it paused.

Cheers for the info and checking.
Looks like Titanfall 2 might be doing something strange then so that it's not detected as a fullscreen window. When set to focus: pause, does that work with Titanfall? Since the code is partially the same, it might give me a better idea about what's wrong.

Did another quick test with This War of Mine, from GoG and there it also paused. Might indeed have something to do with how TF2 handles things.

Anyway, tested it with "Other application focued: enabled" and it stopped when I had Origin focused but unpaused itself as soon as the game started.

And I presume that Titanfall 2 correctly shows up in the task bar with an icon and in the alt-tab menu as any normal window does?

jep it has/does.

It's the same with Dark Souls 3 btw. Just tested it. Only difference to TF2 is that the wallpaper stops when the game launches but then both monitors turn black for a moment and then it unpauses itself.

Alright thanks. I do have one idea that I could try, so I'll put that into the next patch.

Happy to help. Let me know if you need further testing done.

P:S. Besides that small bug the software is amazing. Well done!

Thanks! I will probably push an update to the beta branch today that will include this attempt to fix it, so if you want to, you could try it out there. I'm going to write another reply here when it's up.

Hey,
There is a new build on beta now that will hopefully fix this issue, if you want to give it a shot: http://steamcommunity.com/app/431960/discussions/2/350544272219415004/

If this doesn't help, then some very mundane debugging may be necessary - I could look into it after releasing the next patch.

Gave it a try with "Other apps focused: Keep running"; other 2 options set to pause
and it stopped with both games but there is a new problem:
It also pauses itself when Chrome (windowed) gets the focus. Works fine with Firefox, Steam and a couple other apps.
