The playlist position will completely reset right now when you open the browse window, that could make it appear like wallpapers are repeated.
I would still get the issue where my monitor would freeze for 10 seconds when it had to switch to a new wallpaper in the playlist.
If this helps i have it set so that the video's are loaded in memory and not from the disk (because i have lots of free and pretty fast RAM)
Then start Wallpaper Engine in 32-bit and run the checkwp.bat file. It should create a file called 'out.txt'. Can you paste that file on www.pastebin.com and share the link here?
With an SSD I would not use in-memory anyway, but no, it won't write anything to it at all, it is just about reading the video.
(I hope that this is the correct link)
Also the reason why i used in-memory is because i frequently write big files to my SSD and don't want any slowdown on my SSD or would it not significantly affect my SSD speed ??
It depends on the size of the wallpaper I presume. I don't know of any in-memory issues except for certain formats not working correctly like .wmv. Since it doesn't make a difference with your issue anyway, you can choose of course.
Thank you in advance for all your support and help :) (I will no longer bother you if your suggestion works)
Could maybe something else be the root of this issue ?
Also, what hardware configuration do you have exactly?
Anyway for future reference i will still post my specs and my benchmark result for if the bug happends again.
CPU: Intel i7 4790@3.60GHz (4cores and 8 threads)
RAM: Corsair Vengeance Pro 32 GB DDR3 @ 799MHz
MOTHERBOARD: ASUSTeK H-97-PRO
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 960 (2GB version)
STORAGE: 500GB Samsung SSD 850 EVO (this is the place where wallpaper engine is stored) and 1 TB Western Digital WD10EZRX-00A8LB0
MONITORS: iiyama Gold Phoenix PLG2888UH (configured to 2560x1440 pixels) and acer X223HQ (configured to 1920x1080 pixels)
I think that that is all that you need ?? (if i forgot something feel free to ask)
also this is the benchmark if you need it
(first test, while wallpaper engine was stuck) http://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/3779977
(second test, with a fixed wallpaper engine) http://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/3780028
Anyway thank you once again for your fast responses and assistance ^^
The bench results would indicate a CPU related issue I suppose, although your HDDs results also differ for some reason, even though you said it is installed on the SSD. Hopefully the bug doesn't come back though.
