Chroma Integration Broken
The latest razer central update broke chroma integration for me on Blackwidow v2. Now the lights just randomly spaz out instead of syncing to the wallpaper. Any help would be appreciated

Razer Chroma sync not working
Hi after today's update for Razer Synapse 3, Wallpaper Engine does not recognize Razer Chroma. This option disappeared from my app, but it was working just before update. I've tried to restart PC several times.

Hey, I have merged your two topics, do you also have a Blackwidow keyboard or what does your Chroma setup look like? If there is a bug in the latest Razer update, I would need to forward this to our contacts at Razer and ask them to have a look at it. Due to the Coronavirus lockdown, I currently do not have access to any Razer hardware to test this myself, unfortunatey.

I have a Razer Blackwidow Chroma v2. I noticed further that a few games are doing the same with chroma integration such as Apex Legends, Overwatch etc,. so i think its a problem with razers latest update or something with my particular setup. Either way its not functioning right now.

I have Razer Huntsman Elite working on Synapse 3. Update came yesterday and it destroyed it. I think they might've changed .NET framework version as I've seen some kind of error but before I could cake stacktrace from it, my PC restarted due to drivers update.

Games integration is working fine but not with Wallpaper Engine. Just to note that earlier sometimes my game integration would override WE, and sometimes not so if You can set something like priority it'd be nice to look at.

If You'd like to, I can help with testing if You can set up any testing branch and grand me access thou I have only Synapse 3 devices, not older Synapse 2.

I suppose Blackwidow v2 also works on Synapse 3.

EDIT:
Maybe it'd be wise to note but I use 3 screens. Both in normal and NVidia Surround modes. I've checked all settings and different wallpapers and none of them works.
I've not tried to reinstall Synapse 3 but it's really tricky one as it's counted as driver not only as application.

Can you try and see if the 64 Bit version indeed fixes this:

Since we have not made any changes to our integration and it worked fine before, I currently assume that this is indeed some bug in Razer Synapse but I would like to get your input on that proposed hotfix first.

For me not worked sadly. I've turned down wallpaper app in Task Manager and run it again as x64

EDIT
It worked only after I've restarted PC. I've set up Wallpaper Engine x64 to start up with Windows with high priority and it worked.

If the 64 Bit workaround does not work for you, Razer just told me that they have just rolled back an update from the 30th of March and suggested we ask you to completely uninstall all Razer software and then download the "previous" version from their website as the software will not downgrade automatically for users that have been updated to the buggy version already.

Ok thanks for information. Basically x64 works for me for now, I'll see how it'll work after few days.

I did a clean reinstall today of everything razer related. Even factory reset my devices but i still have the same spazzing lights whenever a chroma application/game is being used. On top of that Razer's support is bad. Guess you learn the hard way

Razer makes great hardware and really buggy software with poor support.

@Altair for me it happened once. I've turned off everything, then run Wallpaper Engine x64 and then Razer Synapse.

Even Windows up can destroy Razer's drivers.

Today I received a synapse update. My Nommo Speaker's chroma is frozen. The rest of my razer peripherals are syncing with whatever wallpaper I choose but the speakers. The chroma is frozen and then suddenly skips to a new color. This started happening today. Idk if it was due to clearing windows cache or Synapse 3's update. (which got installed today) I reinstalled synapse and its still not syncing... What could be going on??

I think You can try the same thing as me. I've turned off Wallpaper Engine x86 and run version x64. I've set this x64 version to run at Windows Start with high priority. Then I've just hard restarted Windows. Please note that fast boot may also make issues.

If the issue persists, please contact Razer support, we cannot fix issues that are rooted in Razer Chroma updates itself and Razer has asked me to forward users to their support regarding this. If it turns out to be an issue on our end after all, please do report back and we will look into it further.
