Corsair iCUE Integration
It all works perfect, except this one major thing, my Vengeance RGB ram LEDs turn off when I try using an iCUE enabled wallpaper, and I'm not sure why? My iCUE is the latest, and so is wallpaper engine. Restarting didn't help, so I'm very confused.

EDIT: non-PRO RGB Vengeance RAM is older and doesn't have the hardware to support this integration. Only the PRO version works. Enable 3rd party software control support in iCUE. See the comment by the dev "ultio" later in the thread if you cant find it.

I've heard issue about Vengeance RAM and the Glaive mouse so far, I think this is on Corsairs end and I need to figure out with them how to solve this. Suffice to say, we're aware, so this should get patched soon.

Hello, an update to this: I found on an old Corsair forum that the old Vegeance RGB Ram doesn't have the necessary hardware to connect intelligently and allow it to be controlled in the way Wallpaper Engine and iCUE does. The new RAM is different on a hardware level which allows for software to do much more, all the while looking much sleeker. For now I will be sticking with my RAM, as DDR4 is expensive.

Well my ram is just the red LED, so before cue involved they would just flash, so i need icue or wallpaper engine to just plain forget they are there instead of them being switched off

I'm confused, are you saying that Vengeance RGB PRO memory has newer hardware that will allow it to work correctly w/ icue and wallpaper engine? If not, what exactly are you saying? sorry for the confusion. just trying to figure out if this is an issue that can be addressed and fixed in wallpaper engine.

Yes, exactly as you said. The newer model, called "Vengeance RGB PRO" is different than the older mode, "Vengeance RGB", and can be used with wallpaper engine. The older model is different on a hardware level and cannot have integration required to make it work with wallpaper engine.

thanks for the reply! I have vengence RGB pro and it won't sync....from what I've gathered it's a disconnect on Corsair's and Asus' side...I've flashed older firmwares to be able to see the memory in iCue...but, yeah....this is ridiculous! now it just stays on the rainbow pattern. Sorry I know you didn't ask but in case anyone else runs across this thread I'm saying that vengence rgb pro, iCue, wallpaper engine and Asus boards don't play nicely together at the moment.

The Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro RAM modules are a bit special. You need to actually enable 3rd party software control support in the iCUE settings because it is disabled by default.
