iCUE integration for Corsair Glaive ?
Greetings,
I have a corsair K95 Platinum RGB and Glaive RGB combo and the mouse doesn't light up at all to match the RGB scheme with the keyboard. Is this a known issue? Or is the Glaive mouse lacking integration with the wallpaper engine software ?
When I check in the iCUE application, I can see the keyboard lighting up and a message is displaying saying that there's a 3'rd party software using both if I check the "lighting effects" option but the lights are all off on the mouse (besides the blue LED's displaying the DPI).

Thank you for this integration btw, I was pleasantly surprised when I saw it.

Which wallpapers did you test? Can you also try enabling the global scene wallpaper LED effects and try any scene wallpaper? (see here on hwo to enable that: https://steamcommunity.com/app/431960/discussions/2/1752358461528200452/ )

In general all devices should be supported as long as your version of iCUE is also the latest.

Thanks for the response;

I've tried the 2 that were already added to my wallpaper engine "installed" page, the Corsair Collection and Corsair-O-Tron. Also I've enabled the global scene wallpaper setting and there's no change, my mouse still has it's LED's off. Also my iCUE version is the latest, I triple checked.

Could you try disconnecting the K95 and see if it makes any difference if the Glaive is the only iCUE device that's connected?

Mice are all treated the same by Wallpaper Engine too, do you perhaps have another iCUE mouse to test? I can't reproduce it so far I'm afraid. Could it be that there's a firmware update pending for the mouse?

I disconnected the keyboard, still no change, mouse doesn't respond to the wallpaper engine iCUE integration, forced the firmware update on the mouse (even though it was the same version, just to be sure) tried again afterwards, no change. I also disabled and re-enabled the SDK compatibility from the iCUE settings for both the mouse and keyboard and no dice.

I don't have another iCUE compatible mouse to test I'm afraid.

Could you disconnect the Glaive and disable "Show only connected devices" in iCUE? If you do this you should get a virtual Glaive to show up. Do the LEDs of that virtual Glaive light up correctly after restarting Wallpaper Engine?

Sadly, no, the same result, mouse LEDs are off in the demo as well.

Are you sure that even the logo and the back LEDs are black? Or is it perhaps just the side LED?
ParagonHawk Nov 9, 2018 @ 6:19am
I'm entirely sure it's all off, just the DPI LEDs are active

I've replied this issue on an ongoing thread about this new integration on the corsair forums and there appears to be another user with the same issue, only the mouse being RGB inactive, the user also mentioned that it worked on earlier firmware versions 3.7.xx and that the 3.8.xx versions have some issues with detection.

Thanks for the heads up. It does sound like something Corsair has to fix, but I'm surprised the demo Glaive also doesn't work. However I noticed that the side LED from the demo Glaive doesn't work for me either, just the others.

Yeah the others work fine in the demo, the Glaive is the only one inactive. Guess I'll come back to this thread after the next firmware update and hopefully bring it to a conclusion.

Thank you so much for the assistance.

Can you provide more details, like which iCUE hardware you are using? Have you followed the general troubleshooting steps from above?

Hey, I might know the answer to this solution. I had the same issue while developing Glaive support for one of my software and it wasn't working for me either while for some it was working fine. Are you using CUE.NET or RGB.NET library to integrate Corsair SDK? They have a bug in their implementation which breaks Glaive support for some users. You can look at this commit in my repo on what I needed to change to make Glaive work. I only had to comment out one link and it worked. If that doesn't help, do you mind if I look at the code where you guys integrated Corsair SDK?

https://github.com/Gurjot95/CUE.NET/commit/9f1f145482281057186c5fbe7801950d469265e3#diff-b0c79a1391bf6263863069ff6c28b62e

As far as Glaive Side LED is concerned, it doesn't work for anyone using SDK. I have already referred this issue to Glorious George.

Thanks, I'm afraid I'm already ignoring this flag though. I'm using the C++ SDK.

Corsair has confirmed to me that they're looking into this issue, so I'm sure it'll get resolved soonish and perhaps we also get access to the side LED then.
