Smoother Video Fade and Still Integration

The only thing two things holding me back from mainlining this 100% of the time are as follows:

1. I like to have a huge collection of backgrounds on a one minute timer but when I tried to pull this off with Wallpaper Engine, th transition from one background to another isn't smooth. You very clearly see the one video stop, unload, then new one loads, then starts. Is there any way I can have a smooth fade out/in without the stutter so that it's as subtle a transition as Windows' default?

2. Using Personal Slideshow to integrate my still images background collection but I can't figure out how to get it to proc more often.

Basically, I'd like to be able to mash my large static background collection together with my Wallpaper Enging favourites, put the whole enchilada on shuffle with a 1min timer, and have it behave pretty much exactly like Windows in terms of smooth transitions. Is this currently possible?

1. Did you enable the fade effect in the playlist options? I'm afraid it won't get smoother than that. Loading a video and getting it ready for playback just takes more effort than a still image, that's what you are seeing.

2. You could add it multiple times to the playlist for now.

I was worried you'd say that. Anyway to do the fade with the videos running or is it a windows limitation that playback has to stop before it can transition?

That's just not possible I'm afraid. Getting the fade to work at all was already difficult actually (due to how Windows does things, yeah).

Unfortunate. Love the program anyways. I'll definitely use it for my background for any YouTube videos showing my desktop regardless and probably alternate between it and my normal static collection in general. Thanks for the quick replies.
