Keyboard input in WE app not captured.

Hello,
I have a really weird problem, which is:
- search bar not reading my input
- playlist 'save' option also not reading my input
I'm looking up for logs (I'm going to find where are they stored), cause they could help...
I can specify that i'm using laptop with touchscreen, Win10. Keyboard works normally anywhere else.
I'm sorry if i'm multiplying this report, but i was searching for this for few hours...

When you say "not reading my input", what do you mean exactly? Is it as if you are not typing at all or what exactly is the behavior you are seeing? You are the first user to report such a problem as far as I can remember. Can you run our scan tool and share the log with me? See here:

The only thing I can come up with is if you are trying to set a hotkey and are not using CTRL, ALT or similar which will unset the hotkey combination.

it's typing problem; if i'm trying to type anything it doesn't showing that i written something. Also not responding to 'enter' so i cannot check if it's just a gui problem.

Hm, I don't see anything suspicious really, my best bet would be McAfee and possibly tabtip.exe (which is the virtual keyboard). Can you try disabling McAfee completely and see if the problem goes away? Maybe it's overzealous and blocks parts of Wallpaper Engine by mistake. If that does not fix it (double-check if it's really off), can you disable tabtip.exe (maybe kill it via task manager) and see if that fixes the issue?

Sorry for the rather random suggestions but this is a very weird problem, there is generally nothing special about Wallpaper Engine's user interface that would block keyboard input.

Earlier when you ran the scan tool, Wallpaper Engine was apparently not shown. Can you open the scan tool and right after (without doing anything with the scan tool) open the Wallpaper Engine browse window. Try to make the error occur and then right after press the "Save Full Log" button. That way, it should record data on ui32.exe (which is missing from your previous log).

Additionally, can you share all Wallpaper Engine log files you have? By default, they are in these places:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\wallpaper_engine\log.txt"
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\wallpaper_engine\bin\debug.log"
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\wallpaper_engine\bin\log.txt"

If Wallpaper Engine is installed in a different directory, the path may differ but the structure in the wallpaper_engine directory always remains the same.

Sorry for needing so many logs from you, but I have to admit I am a bit clueless at this point and this issue does not make much sense to me.

Logged. Shall i put these logs in one pastebin separated by " -=-=-=-log type=<name>-=-=-=" for example or in multiple pastes? (i think the second one will be easier to read but the first one will allow to read only one file). Also checked 'verbose' in default log settings.

I don't know, it looks all good to me. You do have a physical keyboard next to your touch control, right? And you are just using Windows 10 normally and not in some tablet mode or something like that, are you?

Can you try and literally stop everything which is not absolutely mandatory and then restart Wallpaper Engine via Steam and see if the problem persists? I see these processes which you should be able to kill without screwing up your system, can you try that? Make sure to restart Wallpaper Engine afterwards. After your test, reboot your computer so that they all start again:

Tablet mode off; keyboard as usual above touchpad

office click to run is indestructible even if not vital to system at all
killed most of the stuff (not intel nor hp or other of of this type) and it worked

i saw that when i'm using touch to focus the text input it changes to focused ( writing symbol is blinking ~) but no input is readed, but when i click with left mouse then i can type.
So is this a touch interface problem?

relaunched ETD and now touch also works (???) but ETD service didn't started

oh, it happens that i need to first focus the input with left click then i can focus and also unfocus and focus again the input * with touch

and works only when the window is focused; when the window loses focus and regains* then touch will not react ~
