Weird checkerboard effect on wallpapers
Some wallpapers that I recently downloaded had this weird checkboard effect (see link). I'm not sure if there something wrong on my end or with the wallpaper itself. Older wallpapers that I downloaded didn't have this effect. Is there a way to get rid of this? Thank you.

That means you are missing files that Steam should have installed. Try verifying the files on Steam so it re-downloads them: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2037-QEUH-3335
