Wallpaper Engine fps on blue box mouse drag drop

When I drag my mouse to make the blue box the fps of it drops a little, not a big deal but its on my brand new pc and when I turn wallpaper engine off and drag my cursor on the desktop to do the blue box again the fps is perfect. I have an AMD Ryzen 7 1700 if that may be the issue with optimization

Is the blue box the only issue? Or is there a general problem even with moving normal windows around etc?

I have a slower processor, the i7 6700, and the blue box lags already without Wallpaper Engine ever running. It is just poorly implemented by Microsoft, not optimized for performance.

Dragging on my desktop for the blue box is seriously the only fps issue. Dragging windows around and everything is perfectly fine.

Then I don't think anything is going wrong, perhaps you could check the CPU usage of Wallpaper Engine to be sure. If I drag the box around (quickly, over a larger area) it will occupy an entire core of my processor, with or without Wallpaper Engine. So at least on my PC Windows just draws it slowly. The size of the box and number of items it covers affects it too.
