Downloaded wallpapers are grey

I think this has already been posted somewhere, but when i download new wallpapers now 9/10 are just grey, all my older wallpapers are still working fine. I have re-installed but it didnt help, any idea what the issue it?

It's likely because the program can't load some of its own files to decode the images from the wallpaper. Could you try this on the current beta version: http://steamcommunity.com/app/431960/discussions/2/350544272219415004/

If it still happens there, can you send me this file per email to [e-mail] :

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\wallpaper_engine\log.txt

I got your e-mail, but I think you didn't run it from the beta yet - I added some new information there that should be written to the log to figure out why things go wrong.

I tried the beta version but no change, the wallpapers still dont load there images. (any effects seem to be loading fine though)

Hm and you sent me the log after trying the beta? Perhaps something went wrong because it's already such a large file, but it seems to be missing something from the beta version.

I'm pretty sure I have a solution though, but this problem shouldn't exist in the first place. It would be good to know why it happens in case it's some weird Windows behavior.

Could you try the latest update from the beta version again? It should be version 1.0.1129 now.

Alright, I still don't know what was causing it exactly, but what I'm doing now shouldn't be affected by whatever happened before.

Recently had same problem. But older version works fine (Build 1.1.1 2018-11-15)
