Unfortunately i am not using a Laptop to apply this fix. But, instead i am using a Dedicated gpu XFX Radeon 5830HD 1gbvram OC, on a desktop computer. Which has no Integrated GPU.
Some people reported that they had issues with videos after updating to the latest AMD drivers, could it be the same for you? You could try using LAV decoders instead of Windows stock decoders: http://steamcommunity.com/app/431960/discussions/2/1484358860951576217/
Hi, thank you very much for these swift replay's developer! These .mp4's did not work in WMP, but did work in "Filmes and tv" widnows default video app. Indeed i downloaded the LAV decoders as suggested, rebooted, and chose the LAV framework in the wallpaper engine general options tab. After switching it to LAV, all i had to do was choose a working "scene" wallpaper, and then revert to a.mp4 video wallpaper. All seems to work now.
Just a side note tho, my gpu is old and uses the legacy drivers which are now unsupported, i do not know if those work with wallpaper engine or not, but, just to say it, i am using a custom modded legacy drivers, to get support for newer features some newer games require. But apparently it had nothing to do with drivers.
Thank you very much @Biohazard !
