Wallpaper Engine turns off my pc?
so i was using wallpaper engine. and every once and a while my pc just shuts off. im using Windows 7 and never experienced this unless Wallpaper Engine is in use. i dont know if this is just something to do with my pc or the application. if someone can help me with this, it would be appreciated. thank you.

Is there maybe a system error in the event viewer or anything similar that seems related: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa997769(v=exchg.65).aspx ?

actually, i may have realized that its unity itself and not wallpaper engine, because i was playing a game made in unity (this is obviously relevant cuz wallpaper engine is made in unity aswell)
ive checked the Event Viewer, and cant find anything related to Unity or Wallpaper Engine. either im looking in the wrong place or there is no errors or anything in the application

and while playing that game my pc just randomly shut off as well. so is it a bug in unity, the fact that im running windows 7 or is it my specs?

this is so confusing because im really wanting to use wallpaper engine more frequently but my pc keeps shutting off, so until i can find the reasoning for my problem, im just gonna hold off on using it until this is fixed.

is wallpaper engine running in Unity 5? or? cuz obviously Windows 7 is getting old and not many applications nowadays arent really getting as much support if any on Windows 7. i dont want to upgrade because i dont like anything above Windows 7 at the moment. so if unity 5 has compatibility issues with Windows 7 then thats probably the reason. im not sure.

Wallpaper Engine itself doesn't use Unity, but some wallpapers do, the ones that show "type: Application" are usually Unity based.

If it's not an application error, it could possibly be due to heat, do you have any tools installed to monitor temperatures of CPU/GPU already?

i havent been monitoring my cpu's temperature lately, i should start checking again.

but the thing is, when my pc shuts off from overheating and i turn it on again, i get a message in my BIOS saying that the pc was shut off due to overheating to avoid damage to the system. when my pc shuts off from using wallpaper engine, it doesnt give me the overheating message in my BIOS. i'll start monitoring my cpu temperature and i'll get back to you on it.
