Youtube lags out while video wallpaper is running in latest build
As it says in the subject, my YouTube kept pausing and buffering in latest 64bit chrome and I was cursing my ISP, I noticed that the wallpaper wasn't loaded, as soon as I loaded it, YouTube started the buffering and pausing again. Stopped the wallpaper application and YouTube went back to normal.

This is with the 64bit version.

Are you using a web wallpaper that communicates over the internet and takes bandwidth?

No, I'm using the following video wallpaper:

Was using it with the 64bit version of the app, I'm presuming the resolution of the wallpaper may be causing the problem but it just seems to have been a recent problem, it seemed to work properly before this.

Gonna try the 1080i version of the same wallpaper and see how it works:

I have been having a problem similar to the OP's, but I'm using a desktop.

When I run Wallpaper Engine I can not watch youtube videos. The video freezes but the audio can still be heard. Video's will play for a bit, say 10-30 seconds, then it freezes/skips. If I turn Wallpaper Engine off, the video instantly works fine.

No idea why this happens (why would Wallpaper Engine cause this? I have great internet, a great computer, and this happens when using any wallpaper from Wallpaper Engine), but it has caused me to stop using Wallpaper Engine. It is unfortunate because I really like Wallpaper Engine, and this didn't always happen. It started about a month or two ago. Again, no idea why WE is causing this.

Please devs, fix this issue!

This is most likely because both Youtube (or rather Chrome/Firefox) and Wallpaper Engine use hardware acceleration. If the GPU can't handle two videos at the same time (due to its power or buggy drivers) then things like that can happen.

Try to disable video hardware acceleration in Wallpaper Engine in the options, that could help. There is a similar setting in your browser too.

Thanks, it works!
