Wallpaper Engine

Video Wallpapers don't reach the end before looping
I don't know if it happens every time, but I often see/hear the video start from the beginning before it reaches the end (annoying for the music videos I'm running)

I have them in a playlist that changes wallpaper at 10 minutes and "Show wallpaper transition" is checked

Does the issue occur when the wallpaper is changed by the playlist or do you mean on-going loops?

If it's the latter:

There are three different loop "methods" in the general/advanced settings that you could try (because Microsoft doesn't provide a built-in method). Depending on your OS you might get better results with a setting other than "default".
I just turned on the "play videos in sequence" option in the playlist settings, as mentioned in another discussion. Previously, while it was set to change after a set time, it would just restart the video partway through it instead of getting to the end and then starting over. I'm not sure if it was my looping settings or what else it could have been.

I'll try the new settings and come back with more details if I still run into an issue.

Thanks
Alright, after watching it for a bit, and changing some of my settings, I'm still hitting a similar issue. My playlist settings are

Change wallpaper: when logging on
Order: Sorted
Play Videos in sequence

I had a couple of videos that kept looping (still without reaching the end of the video) and the rest (at least most of them) seem to move on to the next video, also without reaching the end of the video.

If you need any more details, let me know. I hope it gets resolved and thank you; I've been looking for something like Wallpaper Engine for a long time.

How far off are they from the end? If it's a matter of milliseconds, then adjusting the advanced video looping options should help (try setting it to "topology").

If it's missing several seconds or more then the issue is completely unrelated to what I originally thought.
It isn't close to the end. On one video I was watching loop, it looped from the same spot in the video (if this info helps at all). But with my settings, the videos shouldn't loop at all

Do you have a link to the video or are all of these local files?

Some files have been looped by the uploader, so maybe that's what's happening? Otherwise I could try to repro it.

Yeah, it could just be a bad edit job of the video(s) itself.
I'm using my own mp4 files.
I have a lot of them so I didn't bother making a full "video wallpaper" for each of them and just imported the files.
But it also happens with ones I subscribed to on the workshop.

I have a new computer now running 64-bit Windows 10 and everything seems to be working.

Thanks for keeping in touch though, I appreciate devs like you :^
