Change Resolution
I know that I can change the wallpaper resolution for "Scene" format by setting "Texture Resolution" to "High Performance", but it only works for "Scene" format, no on "Web" format.
I want a setting that can change the resolution of all formats, whatever it is "Web" "Scene" "Application" or even "Video"(I don't mean to change the resolution of the video itself, but play a 2160p video at 1080p, or a 720p video at 2160p, it still looks blurry like 720p, but that's actually stretched to 2160p to fit full screen)
It just like changing the resolution in many steam games

Now all these things can be done with Scene wallpapers and they tend to be better optimized for performance.

The feature does actually work for Web-type wallpapers but for Videos it just does not make sense. You cannot downscale a video on the fly, your graphics card still has to decode the original resolution, so there is no performance gain to be had. The only way to make this work would be to re-encode it with a lower resolution but that is a complex one-time task.

For application type wallpapers it is really beyond our scope, they are completely independent and Wallpaper Engine has no control over them at all.

Thanks, but what about the "scene" format

As you said yourself, Scene-based wallpapers will automatically be optimized when the option is disabled. The option does not change the entire resolution of the wallpaper but rather the individual textures of the wallpaper, so selecting a specific resolution does not make sense because it does not work that way. Wallpaper Engine will downscale the textures relative to their original size.

I don't think "high performance" works on "web" formats, it does change font size but not texture resolution, and the computer will be slow, I can only change the windows resolution from 2160p into 1080p.
Is there any way to reduce GPU usage without changing windows resolution by using "web" wallpaper?(I didn't find a way, so I created this topic)
