Scroll wheel
Wouldn't it be nice if the scroll wheel could be used for input in wallpapers as well? Both clicking and scrolling.
Is it possible?

I think it should be possible, I believe the only OS use of the mouse wheel is changing the scale of icons by holding down CTRL and scrolling, so we would have to respect that but otherwise I think it's free to use.

Can you elaborate on some examples that you have in mind exactly? (I'm assuming you don't just mean scrolling on web wallpapers, but something on scenes too?)

For starter it'll give a lot more options with interactive stuff, but for my current use case I'm working on a 3d scene using my 360 camera on 3rd person view and I would use the wheel to increase and decrease the distance of the camera from the object it follows, just like a game... But there are other uses I can think of, for example shifting through color hue, increase and decrease volume or make customization possible without having to open the WE UI, just click on the layer and use the wheel to change the intensity of an effect for example. You can already do this by pressing the left button and moving the mouse but the wheel is more intuitive and you could use the first method for something and the wheel for something else (that is my current situation).

I haven't even thought about that but it's another use as well.

another good way is to use for live2d models which make animations by means of click, right left, etc inputs

mouse over + wheel up to scale up
mouse over + wheel down to scale down

wheel up + zoom
wheel down - zoom
