Custom Resolution in Settings
What if we had a settings tab for Resolution, that allows users to create custom background Resolutions per Monitor. It would allow wallpapers to fit more seamlessly onto multi monitor builds with different resolutions.

For example: I have a [4k 32''] [1440p 27''] [4k 32''] Setup in that order. I use my own Wallpapers and adjust the size differences in Photoshop, but I would benefit a lot from a setting that allows me to set custom resolutions for my monitors to use the "Stretch Single Wallpaper" function with out gaps and shifted Backgrounds.

The one important thing would be that this setting doesn't have to be adjusted in every wallpaper but seperatly in the settings tab.

One could even create a configurator that shows lines on ur monitor and the user has to aling them or something to figure out the scale.

I feel like a lot of users would benefit from a custom resolution setting.

Wallpaper Engine properly addresses the resolution change properly but it cannot address the different screen sizes in a stretched setup. That would require wallpapers to be cut up in the middle, stretched and resized, then cut up again and resized again. There is no trivial way to do this with rendered content like that which is also why no game on the market supports something like this. Windows itself does not even support this, if you stretch a window across all your screens it will have different sizes on your monitors and will not be properly aligned.

That is my entire Idea.
You tell WallpaperEngine that the Monitor (in my case the 1440p) monitor is in fact a 3022x1700 display and as such the wallpaper will be renderd in said resolution and fill fit into all screens properly aligned. I myself have no idea how to code or do anything like that but I bet you guys could do it. Nvidia introduced a render scale a long time ago, allowing users to change the resolution at which games are rendered and then stretched to the monitor resolution. You can play games at 8k on a 4k Monitor for example.

sorry for the terrible writing btw im really tired rn.

I love this software and thank you for taking part in creating it. But if this one feature could somehow be introduced I would be incredibly happy.

much love, Vales

Hey, like I said, unfortunately you are oversimplifying the problem and your solution will not work. This works well if only one screen is involved but it does not work for stretching a single wallpaper / window / game across multiple screens, Nvidia also offers no such software to my knowledge.
