Add "tile" as an option for alignment
Ever have a Gif that does not stretch to your monitor's resolution? Well, the dev should add in Tiles as an option make things better.

I would also like to see tile as an option!
TileXY, TileX, and TileY preferably.
TileX would work very well with my Alpine Parallax wallpaper, it would let you use my tileable wallpaper on any screen resolution filling Y once but scaling X out as far as you want without stretching the image (since it's tiled X)

The only problem is that wallpapers are not simple gifs, scene wallpapers are more like videogames, from a technical point of view, even if it is possible, I don't see a way how you could make it without tanking the performance.

I would presume one could take the frame buffer and tile that as a texture into the background surface, I might be able to do it with a shader effect. I’ll play around with it.

I agree that this would be possible for scene type wallpapers but it's somewhat specific and would be useless for the majority of scenes, so I don't think it should be integrated on that level.

Having it as an effect and/or integrating it for local GIF files only would probably be more sensible, yeah. The "transform" effect can technically already do this by adjusting the scale parameters although it wouldn't be aligned the way you may expect it to.
You know, I am surprised my old idea got bumped recently. Frankly, I have not used WE in such a long time :steammocking:
