Long animations bug & Play button layer switching

I've got two problems. The first: when the number of layers is high enough at a given window height that you need to scroll to move through them, there's a bit of odd behaviour. Specifically, when you hover the mouse over the play animation button, it will also think that you are hovering over one of the layers that you have scrolled past. Then, clicking on the play animation button will also switch active layers. I know that I can use a keyboard button to play and pause the animation, but that would be kind of inconvenient for me given the way I do things.

The second problem is that when I have a long animation (generally 60+ frames - again, enough that scrolling is needed) open in one tab and a shorter one in another, upon switching to the shorter one it will be scrolled such that only the frame currently selected and the ones following it are visible in the timeline, but no scroll bar will be present to allow you to scroll back and view the others. This can be fixed with the go to first frame button, but the first time it had happened I nearly got a heart attack (I thought I had somehow lost all but one frame of work.) I'm pretty sure this happens only when one of the animations is short enough that it wouldn't have a horizontal scroll bar normally.

Fairly minor, but kind of annoying. I'm on Windows 8.1 if it makes a difference, and I can post my hardware if that's relevant. Thanks.

I came upon the Play button layer switching as well. Was getting frustrated when i kept drawing on the wrong layer until I realized what was going on.
