Cannot move selection?
This has never happened before, when I select something with the marquee tool and try to move it around with the move tool, it moves the entire layer!
Also, strangely, the selection follows the layer, but not precisely (it's 1~2 pixels off as it seems)

As you can see, the entire layer moves, and if you'll look at the edges of the selection when it moves, it's not always on the same pixels

Hey, is this version in steam yet?
I was using the beta version up until now, so I can use grouping, but it's not fixed there, and when I go to change my Steam aseprite version, I only see "1.2 beta" and the regular "1.3" (both crash aseprite as it launches for me though =\ )
Will this be a big problem caused by me using the beta version..?

To get the latest version you have to Opt-out from all betas (actually the "beta" is v1.2.2 too, there is no beta now). The new options "1.1.13" and "1.2-beta12" is for people using Windows XP.

Okay, now I have 1.2.2, thank you!
Though now the selection only moves when "replace selection" is selected, before, you could move it using the "move tool", right? or am I remembering wrong..?
I would keep it on the "replace selection" option, and use shift and shift+alt to retract and subtract selections, but when I do that, I can only make perfect squares is my selection.. hmmm

Actually the move tool will move the whole layer content (in previous version and in v1.2). As you see now to move the selection we have to use the "replace selection" mode (the default mode). And the add and subtract modes don't move the selection:

About the perfect squares, you can use shift to start adding a new selection chunk and then release the shift key (but without releasing the mouse button).
