Aseprite

Aseprite

Tool for generating Palettes as Presets (Lospec only for now)
Hey Folks!

As a pixel art and gamedev enthusiast, I often use Aseprite and explore color palettes on Lospec. But I noticed there wasn’t an easy way to permanently import those palettes into Aseprite without manually creating extensions.

To solve this, I built Palette Asepriter:
https://palette-asepriter.vercel.app/

This tool lets you:

- Enter a valid Lospec Palette URL to instantly generate an Aseprite-compatible extension.
- Or try your luck with "Get a Random Palette"!

It uses the Lospec API to fetch palette data, generates the required files (GPL + JSON), zips them, and downloads the extension ready to use in Aseprite (so the palette will always be available in presets).

Feel free to check it out! If you have suggestions, questions, or feedback about the translations (Portuguese is my native language), I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Thanks, and happy pixeling!

How is this more convenient than the Save Palette as Preset option in the palette menu? (Or going to Edit > Preferences, clicking on Locate Configuration File, then placing files in the palettes folder from there?)
