same tablet, same issue
... Software relating to Huion?
I don't remember, it's been 3 and a bit years since this post. I haven't used a huion 420 to draw for years. I might have updated aseprite itself, though I probably just updated the huion drivers from the website itself.
It might also be related to the order in which you open the driver software and then aseprite. Paint tool sai does something similar to me - I used to have to have my tablet plugged in and driver open *before* opening sai for my tablet to work in sai. Try the same with Aseprite. Update the drivers, open the drivers and plug in your tablet before opening aseprite.
If it doesn't work then, then I don't know. As I said, 3 years ago.
if someone suffers from the same thing - just pick the normal wintab setting, not the long one
