Can't draw with tablet?

Is it ONLY wacom tablets that work with aseprite? I have a huion 420 and I cant draw without pressing a key (either left click on my mouse or pen) and hovering my pen over the tablet itself. Which while it is technically workable, its really not nice.

A Wacom tablet work with aseprite but idk if it work with other tablets

edit: nevermind - updated and it works fine

lol it does work with intuos pro as well - and a left click is applying the brush. Its just your tools that are on the right hand side.

I don't remember, it's been 3 and a bit years since this post. I haven't used a huion 420 to draw for years. I might have updated aseprite itself, though I probably just updated the huion drivers from the website itself.

It might also be related to the order in which you open the driver software and then aseprite. Paint tool sai does something similar to me - I used to have to have my tablet plugged in and driver open *before* opening sai for my tablet to work in sai. Try the same with Aseprite. Update the drivers, open the drivers and plug in your tablet before opening aseprite.

If it doesn't work then, then I don't know. As I said, 3 years ago.

if someone suffers from the same thing - just pick the normal wintab setting, not the long one
