Feels like it's running at about 15 fps. Tried clearing out all my local aseprite preferences files and editing an empty 100x100 image and I get the same behavior. :(
Edit: If I switch to the 1.2.25 branch in the Betas section, the issue goes away. Issue is present in 1.2.27.
I'm running Windows 10, i5 9600-K, RTX 2070 Super, 16 GB RAM. Also have a Wacom Cintiq, though the issue happens both on the tablet and with my mouse on a separate monitor.
I'm having this problem too.
Aseprite uses 2%~5% of my CPU, the moment I press the pen onto the screen, (pixel perfect off, 1px brush size) it starts going to 10%+
Aseprite seems to only use about 64MB of my ram as well, I obviously wouldn't mind allocating 35 times that amount if it would stop the lag...
(I'm using the 1.3 Beta because the ability to drag preview to another screen REALLY helps me out)
EDIT:
Very important for me to mention, it seems to lag mostly when using the pen rather than when using the mouse, I use a Huion Kamvas 22+
Edit 2:
1.2.25 branch indeed doesn't have the problem, like thatpixelguy suggested.
